We got tired of being sold the wrong thing.
Boltix exists because buying a decent keyboard, mouse or cable in Sri Lanka should not require a forum deep-dive and a leap of faith.
The idea started with a cable. A 100W USB-C cable, bought locally, that turned out to top out at 60W — enough to keep a laptop alive, not enough to charge it while working. Put a USB power meter on the next four cables from four different shops and three of them were the same story.
That is the state of the peripherals market here. Specifications get copied off a supplier's sheet and nobody checks them. "Gaming mouse" means a sticker on a box. Warranty means posting a dead keyboard to an address in another country and hoping.
So we do the boring part
Every product we list has been through our bench in Colombo. Cables go on a USB power meter and get held at their rated load. Mice get their sensor read out in software so we can print the actual model number, not a marketing name. Keyboards get typed on for a week before they go in the catalogue.
If something does not measure up, we do not list it — even when the margin is good. That is the whole business model, and it is why we started with only three categories instead of five hundred.
What Boltix promises
Specifications we have verified
If a listing says 100W, we have measured 100W. If it names a PAW3395 sensor, we have read that sensor ID off the device. Where we cannot verify a claim, we say so on the page.
Warranty handled in Colombo
Bring it to Colombo 03 or courier it to us. We assess it here. Nothing gets shipped overseas at your expense while you wait three months.
Cash on delivery, islandwide
Open the box at your door and check it before a rupee changes hands. Buying online should not require trusting a stranger with your money first.
Advice that costs us money
Message us your budget and what you actually do all day. If the cheaper product is the right one, that is what we will tell you.
Where we're going
Keyboards, mice and cables first — done properly. Once those are right, headsets, monitor arms, desk mats and the rest of the desk follow. We would rather be the place people trust for three categories than another catalogue of everything.
Boltix is a young Sri Lankan business. If we get something wrong, tell us — the contact form reaches the people who can actually fix it.

Every product in the catalogue got there the hard way.
